EDWIN J. LEE, M.D., Diplomate, American Board of Otolaryngology A native of west Michigan, Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Lee has received several scholarships and awards for his clinical and academic achievements. He has also been named Top Doctor in the most recent Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine peer-nominated physician surveys. Dr. Lee is dedicated to providing quality patient care in a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions and has been trained in the latest medical and surgical methods. He has a particular interest in minimally-invasive surgery, Balloon Sinuplasty™, benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, allergy and sinus problems, voice disorders, and pediatric ENT problems. Dr. Daniel Hwang grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He is a board-certified otolaryngologist. He received his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University. He earned his medical school degree at New York Medical College and did his residency at New York Eye & Infirmary in Manhattan. Dr. Hwang was named Top Doctor in the Northern Virginia Magazine. He treats patients of all ages but especially loves taking care of children. He also has special interest in treating diseases of sinus and allergy as well as all aspects of ear pathology. Dr. Kim joined Reston Ear, Nose and Throat in the summer of 2011 after relocating from her hometown in Columbia, Maryland. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences, summa cum laude, from the University of Maryland in College Park. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed her residency year at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Kim is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and was awarded the James Jerger Excellence in Research Award by the Academy for her doctoral research project. She is also a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association with which she holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology, and a licensed audiologist in Virginia. Her clinical interests are in pediatric, adult, and geriatric diagnostics as well as hearing aid dispensing. Dr. Kim is dedicated to providing the latest advancements in hearing aid technology and the highest standard of care to her patients.
CRYSTAL HAWKINS, A.N.P.-B.C., Nurse Practitioner
Ms. Hawkins grew up in Nashville, TN. She is a board certified adult nurse practitioner. Crystal received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Cumberland University. After getting her BSN, she worked at Vanderbilt Medical Center as a registered nurse. It was here that Crystal discovered she wanted to take her passion for nursing to the next level and decided to further her education with a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. Crystal loves getting to know her patients and providing sound patient education to effectively combat illness. As a nurse practitioner she is able to diagnose and treat a multitude of medical problems in patients starting at age 13. Crystal lives in Northern Virginia with her husband Matthew.
